Scarlett Johansson‘s character doesn’t have a body in Spike Jonze‘s “Her,” and that must have sounded pretty good to some of the New York Film Festival’s closing night attendees. If they hadn’t had those pesky bodies, they wouldn’t have had to wait for what seemed like ages in a crowded line on the sidewalk in order to get into the pic’s world premiere after-party.

See, one of the two elevators up to the shindig at the Boom Boom Room, the glam venue at the top of the Standard Hotel, was broken. There were rumors among the line-standers that an elevator full of partygoers was stranded on the eighth floor. That was never substantiated, but the fire department did show up about an hour later.

In “Her,” Johansson — whose body wasn’t at the premiere either (it was in Paris and unable to attend) — plays an operating system named Samantha…
